MickeyO’s funny, fantastically talented and filled with top tricks, juggling, unicycling, and magical movements that create pure laughs and amazement for ALL. MickeyO is The Third Greatest Clown in the World! Mickey O’Connor (born May 15, 1968) is an Irish-American actor, clown, mime, juggler, sleight of hand magician, screenwriter and filmmaker. He is best known for his physical slapstick performances on stages in America, Canada and Europe & Asia. His father, Dr. Francis J. O’Connor, was a radiologist/oncologist at Augusta General Hospital in Augusta, ME. His mother, Barbara Murray was a painter and musician. He is the youngest of 12 children (7 girls, 5 boys). At age 12, his father enrolled him in movement classes at Davis and Elkins College, Elkins, WV where studied and apprenticed under vaudeville performer “Avner the Eccentric”. In 1984, Mickey studied under master mime Marcel Marceau at the Ann Harbor Summer Festival in Ann Arbor, MI and later in Paris, France under Jaques Lecoq. 1986, Mickey was the youngest street performer at Faneuil Hall in Boston, MA before relocating to Los Angeles, CA. He transitioned from the streets to the stage and headlined at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA. 1991 he studied theater acting at the American National Academy of Performing Arts with Francis Lederer in North Hollywood, CA. In 1992, he studied Buffoon and Clown at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in London under master-clown teacher Philippe Gaulier. He had character roles on television including, Beverly Hills 90210, The Thundermans, Instant Mom, 100 Things to Do Before High School, Tosh.0, Stories from the Anglo-Files and The Real Housewives of Orange County. Feature Films include Back to the Future III and The Butcher’s Wife. Lately, he can be seen as a fire fighter on Fox's 911 and FX's The Old Man. In 2000, Mickey wrote and directed his first independent film “Beg, Borrow & Steal” It followed the eclectic life of a runaway street performer seeking his fame and fortune on the streets of Hollywood. 2011 “Pazzazz a musical” written by Richard Sherman and Milt Larsen, Mickey had multiple roles as stage vaudevillians. Richard Sherman and Larsen wrote words and music for the comedy musical Pazzazz! (book by Larsen and Sherman). The musical had its world premiere as the first major musical at the multi-million dollar restoration of the Granada Center for the Performing Arts in Santa Barbara, California in June 2008. It was produced by Larsen and his wife Arlene. A capsulized version of the musical was presented at Walt Disney's El Capitan Theater in Hollywood (February 2010). The latest full production was presented at the historic Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara (March 2011). 2014 Mickey is known for writing the tv series "Extreme Escapes" on Reelz, where magicians attempted unique escapes. He was a visual effects producer on My Haunted House for the Biography Channel. He has been an opening act for: Joe Rogan, Daniel Tosh, Shirley Jones, Harry Anderson, Clint Holmes, Yacov Smirnov, and illusionist Franz Harary. In 2010, Mickey was on board the Majesty of the Seas when it ran aground outside of St. Maarten. Mickey performed an impromptu show in the lifeboat to calm the passengers down. Boston Herald. O’Connor first met Dandi Cress on a cruise ship. The couple became engaged in 2009 the two married on November 9 2009 in San Pedro, CA. O’Connor and Cress have one child Delaney Jane O’Connor (born September 5, 2009) who is an actress and singer. In 2017 she played Amarilis in The Music Man and the was nominated for a Jerry Herman Award where she performed at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, CA. She is now based in New York City. Mickey taught sleight of hand magic for kids at UCLA Summer Discovery Program from 2015 to 2018. In 2022, Mickey lives in Hollywood and on March 3, 2023 at 3:33 he started a creative channel designed to make kids laugh. In 2024 he’s releasing his new world wide comedy special for kids called “3 Star Nonsense”. In 2025 Mickey will be returning to co-star in an International hit Illusion stadium show “Franz Harary’s Magic Stars” in Hong Kong.
